Orthodontics...
The art of achieving
beautiful smiles
naturally.

Orthodontics is a specialized branch of dentistry, which helps correct the position of your teeth and jaws, with aim of establishing a beautifully balanced smile, normal bite and improved self-esteem & confidence.

As an orthodontist with decades of experience under my belt I have only ever really been after one thing. I want to help all my patients achieve a beautiful smile naturally.

Improved smiles help with oral health, aesthetics and, of course, confidence. Over the years, I've had patients tell me how I've changed their lives. A new smile has given them confidence with life's key moments like starting dating again, or walking down the aisle with pride.

Who is able to get a new smile?

Treatment can be provided at ANY age from childhood to adulthood, using a range of modern brace systems.

For both CHILDREN and ADULTS we can treat a wide range of problems: Crooked teeth; Protruding front teeth, reverse bites, missing teeth and unattractive gaps between the teeth.

With my specialist level of training, I can work with your dentist, periodontist, implantologist for a smile that looks and feels great.

How do you do it?

There are two options available to you. There are the traditional fixed braces that go on the inside or outside of your mouth. See below for more information about those. Alternatively, clear aligner braces from 32Co are the best option if you want to prioritise comfort and discreteness.

I work for 32Co as their Clinical Lead in Orthodontics. So it's fair to say I'm an expert in using the 32Co system to get the best results for my patients. I also treat severe snoring and sleep-related issues with the company.

The choice of brace will also be dependent on the severity of the presenting problem and the bite - all patients will undergo a consultation before making this decision. At this consultation I will provide you with an honest appraisal of the relative advantages and disadvantages of the modern brace systems available, including their relative costs. I will then translate these benefits and limitations on a rating scale basis [out of 10].

How do I get brace treatment?

In the first instance, you will require a consultation appointment with Professor Johal, to discuss the options for treatment that are available, the timeframe involved and relative costs.

Following this, brace treatment can be easily organised. A range of appointment times (late evening and Saturdays) are available to suit children & adults alike.
